If there is a trend that is inescapable, its denim! Thats where I bring in the denim vest, this trendy piece is versatile, flattering, and adds edge to even the girliest pieces in our wardrobes. Thats why I decided to pair it up with a turquoise green pleated skirt and color blocked it with a hot pink tank
I went for  this faded, sun-kissed light blue that looks great with just about every other color, especially since my outfit is color blocked to give it a color clash rather than a match. I love the back at the back....the tiny bows are just soooo cute.

I adore pleats....they so flirty and fun
I accessorised the vest with a silver neck piece and yellow loops
Finished it off with these sexy leopard print booties

I find styling jumpsuits to be really tricky, you have to consider your shape and figure, otherwise you find your self in some fashion police cap. This was my outfit for my brother's graduation,I got this butter yellow one in my thrifting escapades....its a lil' baggy which i prefer because it doesn't crinkle around the hip and thigh area.
I particularly loved the collars at the front and back. The back is has a low neck while the front is shorter and peter pan. I threw in the jungle green vest to bring some seriousness to the outfit, but threw it off when it got extra warm
I did the little pops of color by adding a neon pink skinny belt, color blocked earrings and the cobalt blue platforms and matching tweed purse borrowed from my sisters closet.
I totally love the back it soo party at the back while business at the front.
I added a tangerine scarf with black polka dots to serve as my hair band.

Happy holydays everyone, isn't the festive season just out of this world....how are you spending your's? well for me its that time for  family and friends, the only time you give them endless attention and just relax and be at ease. Its during this season i decided to go all out with the 80's look, the hair and the whole outfit. Peplum dresses and tops were popular in the 1940s, and had a huge revival in the 1980s, so if you’re after a more 40s style you can often pick up 80s dresses for next to nothing at any flea markets or vintage shops  and you can make em to your taste and style and with the right hair and accessories they look amazing.
This electric green peplum dress was originally very long, so I decided to make it a party dress and made it shorter, take a look at my previous post, i made a scarf out of the extra material.
I really love this white croc skin peep toe platforms but i never get to wear them much.....they pretty high but suprisingly comfortable. I like the metallic pink heel.
I went for an 80's hah irdo.....i really love the big hair bun that i made, then complemented it with a crimson red lip and an emerald blue bib necklace.
I wanted a tiny briefcase-ish purse and this really went well my ka dress.
Finished it off with this white button earrings.

I have to say....i really love polka dots, theres just something about them that calls out to me, i find them fun and a teeney lil bit flirty in their own twisted way.
Thats why I mixed different polka dots in this outfit, the black on white in the blouse and the white on teal in the shoes
I have had these pants for a long time now, since '08 and i find them to be classic vintage and you can wear them in many different ways and they still don't go out of style.
I have to confess am currently obcessed with these shoes.....oh so cute and these  earrings, i find them to be just bold especially when i have my hair in a pony
I finished it off with a crimson red chain bag and minimal accessories so as not to compete with  the busy fabric

The beauty of a tuxedo jacket its the versatility it brings to the table. This jacket can be worn from the formal day in the office to casual friday to the weekend with a pair of denim to literally anything else possible. This piece was originally masculine until the softer feminine vibe came into trend.
What i love about mine is the houndstooth print on it. I find it tricky to wear the print so i decided to go for nudes and whites because of its busy print.
I have had these pants for quite a while and they used to have suspenders until i chopped them off. I love the highwaisted feel to the them as they elongate my torso and shape it.
Then i topped it off with my crimson envelope clutch. I tend to to find red complimenting prints that are black and white.
                                                               CLOSET:
                                                               Blazer- Toi Market
                                                               Pants- Paulo's
                                                               Polka wedges- Erico's collection
                                                               Envelope clutch- Maurice & Jodeci
                                                               White blouse- Thrifted

Hallo hallo y'all.... well today is my birthday and can't believe how the year has ran out so fast. Wow and a year older, and as am aging i notice my style is too getting more refined and am doing lots of growing sexy outfits. If only i had a blog years ago, you'd see why. But, am liking it as i still try to incorporate my evolving style into it.
I came across this denim skirt in my thrifting escapades and was so drawn to it. It was once size bigger and i got my tailor to resize it to my specifications. I wanted high waist and fitting but not tight and this is the end result.
I loved the button detail and wrap effect of the skirt paired it up with white ruffled blouse and my all time favorite cobalt blue platforms.
I added the multi- colored oversized purse and colored blocked earrings to add some oomph and color to the outfit

This is one of my favorite formal looks that i have done so far. I have an obsession for animal print and my friends can attest to that. So this skirt was a great addition to my closet. At first i had planned it to be part of a party ensemble but since i have quite out of the party scene for a while, i decided to do a day outfit with it
I paired it up with this green tie neck blouse, i really liked the color contrast so i added the white blazer.
I added the blazer to invoke some seriousness to the outfit and maintain a serious but sexy look
I threw in a crimson red envelope clutch and matching eaarings to add a pop of color to the outfit. Then finished it off with a bold lip.
Not forgetting the baby pink atmosphere pumps.
I did some few pics without the jacket and neverthelessless liked it too

This outfit combines four of my favorite trends of 2012; pleats, the maxi skirt, prints and color blocking. I decided to do a spring combination of colors.....the cobalt blue skirt with a mint green blouse. I tied the blouse to elongate the midriff and steer away from the outfit looking too officy
What i love most about maxi skirts is that they are versatile and can be dressed up for a night out or down for a low key look. I went for the casual look in this post
I added a pop of  neon pink with the belt and head scarf for some ooomph
I carried a printed oversized purse with an array of lovely colors to navigate from the spring look i had on.
My accessories were very minimal, just a burgundy red bracelet and a bronze ring. Not forgetting the platforms.....i got this babies just the other day and and am in love with the turqoise green suede blended with the florals heel
Finished it off with off-white earrings and a bold scarlet red lip
